We’ll discuss the historical ties between Ethiopia and Germany as well as the international origins of favorite German dishes like döner kebab. • We’ll conclude by savoring West African dishes at a fourth restaurant as we reflect on how culinary traditions evolve in a globalized world. Over the course of the afternoon, you’ll sample an array of drinks and vegetarian dishes, and leave with my recommendations for other Berlin restaurants to explore.

Art galleries and architectural tour along Karl-Marx Allee

In this walking tour of East Berlin, we’ll walk along Karl-Marx Allee and learn about the distinct socialist architecture of this boulevard as well as visit several contemporary art galleries, checking out new works from emerging and established artists and speak about the history and present of Berlin as a hotbed of creativity. • We’ll meet up at the ecclectic Café Tasso to talk about how artists have shaped Berlin since the reunification of Germany in the early 1990s and about the city’s diverse art scene. We will also talk a look at the vast collection of second-hand books in the basement of the café. • Then we’ll make our way along Karl-Marx Allee. Along the way we´ll visit several galleries, such as Galerie im Turm, NBB, Capitain Petzel and others, to tour their current exhibits and, occasionally, speak to curators I know. • As we walk down the street, we’ll discuss the artworks we have seen. I’ll also point out some of the most notable buildings around us and intricate details of them, which reflect the Stalinist “wedding cake” style of architecture that makes this street unique. • The tour concludes at the Café Moskau, another iconic building of the post-war era of eastern Berlin. The tour is a great way to explore the Friedrichshain district of Berlin and get an insider’s view of the city’s vibrant contemporary art scene.

My tour of Berlin is very different than the usual Politically correct BS. Actually, think of this as the Politically incorrect tour of Berlin, so feel free to bring along your favorite rude jokes when joining us. It will be full of bad language and bad taste jokes-while paying respect where it is due. No snowflakes allowed! Our exploration will involve memorials, monuments and graves, along with churches and parks. We will discuss a mix of history, current events, local cuisine, the best spots for a cold German beer by the city center of Berlin. Be prepared to be socially active. Techno Painting with a Berlin Artist

I would like to invite you for a 2.5 hour workshop, to paint together, to discuss art and music, and to get acquainted with Berlin’s unique Techno scene. This workshop is meant for you to express your creativity. You won’t need to buy materials and you don’t need to have prior painting experience. You just need to show up and enjoy the process. In the end you will have a beautiful work of art (acrylic on canvas), made by you, ready to be hung on your walls. How it goes: First we will explore the creative process, and decide on the color palette for each person. Then we will absorb ourselves in the music and learn how to translate its energy into painting. You will be personally instructed in the unique technique and the use of colors. We will begin to work in layers of color. You will be immersed in the creative process, forgetting your everyday life and expressing your inner playfulness. We will take one break to dry the layers, discuss the process, evaluate the outcome so far and decide how to proceed. During the break drinks will be served. While we're painting I will gladly share the "secrets" of Berlin's club culture. Discussing the dress codes and door policies of the major clubs, where I party every weekend. English Comedy Show on a boat

So, here's the plan: You get to become part of one of the biggest and most fun stand comedy shows in English in Berlin! And it's all on a boat! It's a fun, vibrant, energetic and friendly show - EVERY Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. We'll have pre-show drinks and then enjoy a great line up of Open Mic comics doing 5-7 minutes of material and an awesome headliner to top it all off. After that we'll have some relaxed drinks at the bar where we mingle and you get to know the comics and the other people joining the experience in a more private setting. So, ask all those questions you've had but never dared to ask about comedy. Other things to note You can smoke on deck, but not in the bar. The bar only serves snacks, but there's plenty of restaurants and bistros nearby. If you ever find one of the experiences as fully booked, consider joining us the night before or after. Berlin with a Private Photographer

We will meet at the famous Museum Island and walk around the most representative historical spots with a nice view of the canal and the TV tower, meanwhile I tell you a bit about the city and find your best angles to take spontaneous and candid photos. We will also stop by a hidden alternative gem, full of graffitis, bars and art galleries.
